A hands-free mobile phone unit that keeps microwave radiation away from your
head and neck has been developed by JK MicroTechnology of Kent. A dangling
microphone unit plugs into a cellphone as normal, but also contains a small
loudspeaker. This feeds sounds to the earpiece through a hollow tube similar to
the earphones used in older aircraft (www.safetalkforlife.com).
