If using joysticks to play computer games is too much effort, then why not
simply nod at the screen? That’s the principle of UseYourHead, a new piece of
software developed by Cybernet Systems of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Using a webcam,
the software monitors the user’s head movements and translates them into actions
in the game—the more you move your head, the more your character moves on
screen. The hope is that the system will make game-playing more realistic as
characters move in response to the gamer’s armchair agility.
