A Canada-based UFO cult says it is about to clone a dead baby girl. The
Raelians claim they have the funds, the scientific know-how and a willing group
of 50 surrogate mothers. An American couple has reportedly paid the sect
$500,000 to clone their dead daughter and its scientific director,
Brigitte Boisselier, says the process will start this month. Reproductive and
cloning scientists have condemned the plan. Ian Wilmut, who cloned Dolly the
sheep at the Roslin Institute near Edinburgh, has called the plan misguided and
“cԲ”.
