If you鈥檙e still struggling to program your video recorder, Joseph Enterprises
of San Francisco may finally have the answer. It is patenting a universal VCR
remote control that has standard analogue clock faces for setting start and stop
times manually (WO 98/41015). So that it will work with most recorders, the
remote is preprogrammed with the start and stop codes of almost all VCRs, so
when programmed it sends out every possible start and stop code, in rapid
sequence.
