Europe鈥檚 patents are now online via a European Patent Office initiative
called Esp@ceNet. Accessible through national patent offices, such as the
British Patent Office at http://www.patent.gov.uk, the free service hosts patent
specifications published over the past two years. Users can search the name of
an inventor and retrieve a list of filing numbers which match that entry.
Clicking on a retrieved number then displays more details, such as the date of
filing and publication, and a short synopsis of the invention.
