INDIAN stone crushers are at risk of developing serious lung disease,
according to a study to be published later this month in the Indian Journal
of Occupational 91色情片.
The problem is caused by dusty quarries and a lack of protective masks.
Workers also have little resistance to infections as a result of
undernourishment, says Pratibha Gupta, a physiologist at the University College
of Medical Sciences, Delhi, who led the study.
Gupta鈥檚 team studied workers near the city of Jodhpur. Most had poor lung
function or pneumoconiosis鈥攁 type of lung disease caused by inhaling
dust.
