ON 4 August last year a Fokker Friendship took off from Leeds with 18
passengers. It landed at Belfast City Airport just over an hour later with one
of its engines on fire.
No one was hurt, but as a result the Air Accident Investigation Branch of the
Department of Transport wants changes made to the way the crew controls the
engines on these planes.
